CAOILFHIONN AND DAMIEN
MILTOWN MALBAY CHURCH AND THE ARMADA HOTEL
Caoilfhionn and Damien celebrated their wedding on a beautiful June day on the west coast of Clare. Caoilfhionn’s house was a hive of activity and with her being a teacher in a gaelscoil like her mum before her the first language in the house was Irish and although I was only able to pick up a few words (to my shame) it was like music to my ears to hear everyone speaking as Gaeilge. Having 4 bridesmaids and lots of neighbours and friends calling through out the morning the house was buzzing, dad was trying to keep a low profile with all the goings on…..
St. Joseph’s Church in Miltown Malbay was where the crowd was gathering and OH MY what a crowd it was. Musicians from far and wide came to celebrate with Caoilfhionn and Damien, I have never seen so many musicians under one roof so you can imagine how the ceremony went, family members, members of the bridal party and guests all played a part in this musical celebration, with the bride and groom performing for the finale!!
The most was made of the weather and we headed off to the very picturesque dunes by Spanish Point beach to do our portraits before heading back to the wonderful Armada Hotel for one hell of a session, here’s a little of what happened!!!
